How do I turn on English to Spanish translator in Facebook Messenger?

Though the translation was terrible, last I checked.
If on a pc, you could get eg the google translate extension for chrome, which translates any text you highlight (if detected as non english), or opens a translation in a new window through the right click menu - it's a more general solution.
i was messeging someone yesterday and they said it was translating right in messaging.
When they would respond back to me it would be in spanish and english.
I could see both in my mesage
