So I just started working at an op-shop on sunday. It was my very first shift, I told them that I could come in every sunday 2:00-5:00. But next sunday I will be away and I can only work before 2:00.
Each new day they have different owners and people running it. I don't have their email and I should probably tell them before sunday! So do I walk into the shop on another day asking if they could pass on the message?

The normal procedure for time off if you are working whether it is volunteer or getting paid is you ASK for the time off you don't tell them!
You have a shift to cover that's why they hired you and if you decide not to show up they have to find some one to cover you being gone and fill that shift.
You ask in person as far in advance as you can. You know your supervisors name the phone number at work and your supervisors number. If you are going to be late to work you call and tell them. If you are sick and can't go in you call and tell them.
A job comes with responsibility whether you are 15 or 25. You get in there as fast as you can and ask for the time off.
But the problem is... i don't know my supervisors number what i do know is the stores number.
So do I call the store and try to explain to them and ask to pass on the message?
