This world that we live can cause us to cast many views about the world and religion, and I can see how many have come to the point where they don't believe in God or any higher being. But let me ask you something, when you go to bed at night, do you have heavy concerns that you will not wake up the next day? Well most of us don't because if we did we would not make plans for anything beyond the day that we are currently living. We make plans because we have faith, and faith is not something that we and see or feel, it is the inner knowing that something exist. But if we see the ones who are suppose to be taking the lead in validating your faith doing what is wrong, then it can cause your faith to dim. This was the same thing that took place in the first century during Jesus' day. The religious leaders failed the people. They continued to do what was wrong and became greedy for power and money. Do you see much of that today? Having or not having faith is not based on what is being said or told by the way another person views it, but by proven results of things that were foretold. To illustrate: Let's say a weather reports comes on and they say that within the next 3 hours there is going to be a terrible storm this will cause massive destruction and the is a great chance that it will be coming your way and advises all to evacuate. But you look in the sky and there is not a cloud in sight for as far as you can see, would you leave? Would you even be concerned? For most of us yes we would, because we know that this weather man must have seen something that would indicate that this storm is real and it is going to happen. But let's say you decided not to leave because you saw no indications of anything taking place. Sadly many people have lost their lives because of this lack of faith in the things that are predicted. Although you may not believe in the Bible, the things that the Bible says about the days we are living in are coming true. If you get a chance read the scripture at 1 Timothy 3:1-5. Whether you believe in the Bible or not, I'm sure you will agree that it was written a very long time ago, if that being the case, and the Bible is just a book, then all of the writings in it should be very outdated. Could we liken the Bible like the prediction of the storm? The only way that you could truly know if it is real is to read it and have faith in the things that it says and see it as being truth.
christians have been saying the end times are here since before my grandma was born and she's 71. and one reason why i have a problem with prayer is because the mericals most people say they've had are just mundane coincidences that everyone else has everyday. there is no science in scripture even catholic priests say that and they aren't atheists. and the stupid rumor that obama is the anti-christ is dumb as well. people use to think that ronald regan was the anti-christ just because his three names all had 6 letters. and the virgin birth of jesus is a very similar story to the virgin birth of horus in the egyptian book of the dead. i'm reading both right now periodically of course. but very similar stories. the egyptian book of dead is older than the christian bible. the virgin birth of jesus is not the first time that story has been told.
i'm not trying to start problems with this i'm trying to tell all the stuff i've heard from both sides of the coin. not just my point of view.
