Since you are unique, the only person who can say if you are successful is you.
We all have our own notion of what things are important to us based on our upbringing, education, beliefs, ideas, knowledge, experience, motives, etc and it's only when we have balanced them that we consider ourselves to be successful.
Which explains why some rich and famous people do not consider themselves as successful - they know that along the way they neglected something or somebody or sold out on a core value and that nothing they can do can put that right.
One must go in quest of the true meaning of success. Success is achievement, though different people consider success to be different. For a politician, success is winning the elections, for a businessman it is becoming a millionaire and billionaire, for a teacher it is teaching well. Therefore, success is not a state of mind, success is a passion, an obsession, a desire. Because from the time we are born, from the beginning, we are taught that success is equal to happiness, and so we all want to be successful. We don't realize that success is not happiness, happiness is success. Success creates an achievement that gives us momentary pleasure, but man is still not satisfied, his need becomes his greed, enough is not enough. And therefore we go from one success to another. If we don't achieve our next success, we become disappointed. Even wanting to achieve success creates stress. Therefore one must stop to understand the true meaning of success.
