How do I start a conversation with a girl I like(in 6th grade)?

It is perfectly normal to feel anxious around a crush, but the trick is controlling your anxiety. If you're like me, the sight of her makes your heart leap and your brain forget how to communicate. This is why it is best to talk to her online through social media at first where you are in more control and have time to think of your responses.
Find an excuse to message her (homework, schoolwork, or even "hey you're the Canadian girl everyone talks about right? " is good). Come off as friendly,chill, interesting, and crack a few jokes here and there. This is going to make her want to keep talking to you. Use good grammar and try to refrain from using too much texting language such as lol, lmao, ur, etc. Finally, keep messaging her once in a while and ask her appropriate questions like "how was your day? " got a lot of work? " and more so that she can open up and feel comfortable talking to you. By now you guys would be friends and it'll be easier to approach her in real life (although probably awkward at first).

Lastly, start talking to her more in real life and less online as time progresses.

Tips:
- make sure that your real life self and online personality aren't so contrasting. Might make you seem two-faced
-Don't overdo talking to her online. You don't want to be that person that only talks to her online and not in real life.
-Be interested in what she says. People like it when you hear what thru have to say and try to build on it.

-Don't tell a lot of people that you like her because rumors fly
