My class has to run a mile tomorrow and the minimum amount we can get is 9:30. I've gotten 10:50 and 11:30 when we ran last week for practice. Whenever I get tired, I have to stop running and then when I stop running i get a bad time. Btw I don't have asthma and I'm not overweight. Thanks!

Well how old are you? Cause this could help because I am 14 years old and I run an average of a 5:05-5:10 mile. I would just say to try to practice. Go on morning jogs or afternoon jogs. Try not to push yourself too hard on these runs.
Try timing yourself and see if you improve.
Drink lots of water before a run (throughout the day)
Stretch before a run.
That didn't help. It didnt even answer my question.
