Someone recently logged into my Gmail account. Gmail just tells me to be more secure, but I looked it up and you can get years in prison. How would I go about reporting this person? Would the government actually care enough about some random persons email getting logged into? If so, what would their punishment be?

Well the government would care if it was one of their own that was snooping in their email they would raise so much hec over that the person who did it would get fired and do some jail time that's how they would see that now depending on who snooped in your email and why they did it and who it was would depend on why they felt the need to be in there and what they were looking for the police might listen you could try it you would have to prove some type of criminal behavior. I would do something civil if you can't some other way.
