How do I make it stop!?

Hey what type of printer do you have, also what operating system are u using, have you actually tried to print anything from your computer yet? Usually when you send something to the printer to print, there is a like a dialogue that comes up with all the printing job you have ordered. So what I suggest you do, after making sure all the connections are connected to the printer, try to print a document, and when the dialogue with all the printing jobs comes up, delete all the jobs waiting to print including the one you've just sent. after you do that make sure on the printer itself all the printing jobs waiting to print are deleted, or if there is anything on the printer that you can reset or something do that and finally turn the printer off (preferably unplug it from the mains) and back on again. Now try to print. Good luck.
