... a Search result link of choice, almost invariably I cannot find the specific quote displayed right there in my Search results. Spending what amounts to hours hunting for the specific info often to no avail. you wanna talk about irritation?

Every program you use has a tools menu. If you use tools a lot it will be a toolbar across the top of the screen. If you rarely use tools it might be hidden. In Windows you can click "Start" and select "Control Panel" and that gives you a menu of menus to control everything the computer does. You can right click anything and most of the time get a menu for that specific item. For example if you right click the desktop you have the option to rotate the monitor image in some graphic cards. That allows you to have an image that is high instead of wide, by turning your monitor. You don't need to memorize all these things, just be aware that they are in there. Then you can claim to know how to operate a computer at the beginner level.
One thing you have to learn eventually is keyboard shortcuts. If you put the cursor to either end of a word or phrase, left click and drag to the other end, it is highlighted. Then you can press Ctrl-C to copy, Ctrl-X to delete, or Ctrl-V to paste somewhere else. So you copy your search term before the search and then when you go to the link you press Ctrl-F to find it.
You can google the term "keyboard shortcut" to see what else you can do. Also google "windows tips" just to see what you might find.
