There's this shy guy I like, he's 16 and I'm 17. I get to see him about once a month at my friend's parties.
He's shown signs of interest by staring at me and quickly looking away and bringing up things we're both interested in.
I saw him last Saturday at my friend's birthday party and a girl he had liked was there and he was very upset (he knows she isn't into him) and he ended up getting emotional and getting very drunk. I took the liberty to help him because I was one of the only sober people there.
I had him propped between myself and his friend to keep him steady while we were sitting on the grown. He kept telling me I was awesome and bringing up the band we like a lot. He had asked me to hold his hand earlier (when he was even drunker) and continued to ask me to hold his hand throughout the night (intertwined finger style). He then asked "On the 30th, which is the night of the Homecoming dance, would you like to come watch me Martial Arts fight?" of course I said yes. He was really shocked and said "Nobody ever wants to come see me fight. You'd give up Homecoming for me?" However, when I tried to ask him when and where, he got off topic and never answered. We continued speaking and holding hands now and again.
I have his number, but he doesn't know it (a friend thought she was doing me a favor by getting it for me). I'm really afraid to text him first since he doesn't know I have it and he didn't give it to me. He's also not on any form of social media. I just really need some help. Thank you guys!
