My sister is 15 years old, a year younger than me, and she has changed a lot recently. She has been moody and temperamental, but worst of all, she says she is ugly and fat. I don't know how to get her to understand that she is beautiful the way she is, she hits me when I tell her. I don't want her to think she is ugly, how can I help her?

Is there any discernible external cause for the change - any form of interaction with toxic individual(s) you're aware of?
Is she showing signs of anorexia or bulimia?
You're basically at the position of a parent to a teenager, with less authority. Sometimes your words don't get through. Sometimes the best you can do (besides addressing the 2 points above) is to be there for her when she wishes company. Offer advice without judgement (to void conflict with her beliefs). Approach with subtlety. Observe and wait.
