Christmas has no relation to Christians. It is a commercial holiday. It was a very obscure holiday, rejected by most Christians, until Coca Cola used it to advertise soft drinks in winter weather. All the traditions are pagan, mostly Scandinavian. The date is at least three months off. The modern holiday is nothing more than Lightmas.
What is Christmas? Actually it has nothing at all to do with Christ.
Many scholars agree that most Christmas traditions have their roots in non-Christian and pagan customs. These include Santa Claus, as well as using mistletoe and the Christmas tree, exchanging gifts, burning candles and Yule logs, hanging decorative wreaths, and caroling. The roots of Christmas can be traced back to pagan Rome with its mixture of festivals for honoring the agricultural god Saturn and the sun god Sol Invictus, or Mithra.
