Im a 15 year old male who use to go to training for sprinting but recently had to stop going cause of it closed down. I have a sprint time of 11.24seconds and want to keep it coming down but i am finding it impossible to do so. Can anyone just give me ideas of what i can do to get my sprint speed higher which does not involve running on track? I am stuck and really need ideas on how to get a higher speed and faster time!

I'm in the same situation as you are now myself. My friend is one of the quickest in my county and he's given me some advice. First of all, work on your technique- simple things like dorsiflexion can make a real difference. Secondly, your upper and lower body strength is crucial. Mainly work on shoulders (delts) in the upper body and hip flexors in the lower body- especially undertrained hip flexors. It would help me if you could write back saying which part of the 100m slowed you down: acceleration phase, maximum velocity or the last 20/30m.
