How do I get a gig for playing insterments???

As a fellow musician that has played at various clubs and what not, I would suggest going to a local rehearsal hall and look for bands that need members, guitarist, pianist, are probably going to be good to look for. A violinist may need to look for a more specific kind of band to join. If you are looking to go solo, try local coffee houses, clubs, and or places that have people play live for a little to nothing pay. That should get you started,, but remember, the music business IS A BUSINESS so watch yourself and get your money up front or at least half up front...
