How do I find the line that passes thru (4,3) ( -2,5)?

well you need to plot first the coordinates in a cartesian plane make a point from this coordinates then connect it with each other then you can find the line that passes through it

slope m = (5 - 3) / (-2 - 4) = 2 / -6 = 1 / -3.

Point-slope form of a linear equation:

y - 3 = ( -1/3)(x - 4) ;; inserting coordinates of P1( 4, 3) in y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y = -x/3 + 4/3 + 3 = -(1/3)x + (4 + 1/3);; slope (y)intercept form, which tells you that the line cuts through the y-axis at ( 0, 4+(1/3) ).
