How do I convince my parents to let me move my computer and gear to my room so I can have more room?

I want to take this thing seriously. I'm working to get money for a good desktop computer for gaming. But if I get a desktop, I won't have anywhere to put it except in my room because I have been couch gaming my whole life. And I want to have a good clean gaming setup. ( I already have a desk)

Tell them that all the other kids are doing it. Or tell them if you are going to grow up and get a job other than working at McDonald's you need to learn to use a computer.
