I really want a kitten, but everyone in my house except my 1st grader brother despises them. How can i convince my family to adopt one?

Sometimes things such as pets are just too much of an expense for parents, which is a situation one must understand. Although you could try showing responsibility by doing chores or being on your best behavior. Something most commonly done by parents is getting an easy to care for pet like a goldfish, maybe you could bring something like this up to them.
Well, obviously you can't. Some people hate having animals in the house and they have good reasons for the way they feel. One good reason is that they break things, so you either have to tolerate the breakage or pay for fences. A cat costs about as much for litter as for food, and both are messes that have to be cleaned up. If someone is against these things there is no way to change their feelings.
