How do I convince my parents to get me my OWN dog?

We used to have just one dog (a golden retriever) that really only loves my dad. Until my mom came home with a chihuahua, which adores her. Now we have two dogs, but I feel like I want my own dog because neither of the dogs really like me. And I want my parents' least favorite dog breed: a German shepherd. I want it because they are so loyal to one person. My parents don't like German shepherds because they are convinced that they are dangerous. Anyone have any ideas how to convince my parents that a German shepherd is not a vicious breed? Or how to let the have my own dog? I WILL DO ALL OF THE WORK THAT OT TAKES, SO PLEASE NO DISCLAIMERS SAYING: "oh, a GSD is too much work."

i understand ur feeling brother....even i wanted a dog.....a very very loyal dog....but still it was not german shepherd it was doberman....german shepherd and dobbie both are same coz both are dangerous.....at times...i suggest that:-
1)be responsible..
do some good deeds and show ur father that u r really responsible..
2)bring someone others shepherd to just show that u can handle a german shepherd....

First, tell your mother how your first dog is important to you. Second, you have to care both your dog and your mother's dog.

Omg ur just like me but I'm GOING to GET one for my bday. I will tell u want I did to get one. Ok first you have to show that you have responsibility to get one by cleaning your room, do chores around the house, and the biggest one of all care for the other dogs ( this will take 1 month to a year.) Truthfully some can be dangerous but not all of them I found one near my home that is ok with other dogs a people. You might have to house train it too. Hope this works :).
