I started playing soccer only 2 weeks ago, but my past experience in other activities has given me a huge boost and I'm already better at goalkeeping then everyone I know except one kid who's been doing it for something like 5 years. In mid-may I'm going to try out for a team which has four different levels, and I've talked to some kids in it and they're telling me I'm guaranteed to get into at least the second level based on how good I am now. The goalkeeper is probably a really competitive position so this might not work for me but I really want to be able to get into the 3rd level so I can get the maximum amount of experience out of that season. So, I have two months: Every day at lunch I just kick around the soccer ball with other kids, after school I have time to do some drills I've learned about, and every weekend I can get my dad to take shots on me and he's really good. What I'm really missing is the experience that would be required to play well in a game. In PE at school we have a chance to play soccer anywhere from twice a week to twice a month, so I can't really count on learning from that. I just need any help I can get to get as good as I can.
