Imagine a 36 hour labour of love versus a 5-10 minute birth?

not sure of understanding your question correctly. I would like an enduring 36 hour of love. Many try to conceive for years with no results. Whether it is for 45 seconds or 6 years. Procreation would continue. Just only the more fertile people would be able to procreate.
