Every country's geography has an influence on its development because first of the trade with the neighboring/regional

China is slightly larger than the USA, so you are asking about an awful lot of geography. China has several major rivers. Rivers divide land and provide transportation, so population centers tend to be along rivers. Southern China has a lot of mountains, making travel difficult.
