I am currently in Year 9 and working at level 7. This is my English descriptive writing piece for homework. Constructive criticism will be welcomed, and yes it is very dark. All of it, including the poetry is my own work and may not be reused, edited, or copied for any reasons without my permission. Yes I am very serious about this sort of thing! lol!
Anyway, here it is:
Haunted
Gazing down with dark fury emanating from the empty void in the side of his head, he stares down at us mockingly. It sucks in all the light of this world and corrupts it.
Does he intimidate you? Are you scared? You should be!
How sad, how fear-inspiring, how dreadful a picture.
His balding head is covered by an old brown hat, but that isn't all it hides; the shadowed horns concealed in his skull are eager to burst out, but he resists. How pitiful! No, t'is not possible to feel pity for such a despicable creature.
Hush! Fall silent! Do not speak or he will strike! Remember:
'Ne'er good doth the listener hear
Speak of the devil and he's sure to appear'
How... fitting. Speak of the Devil! He is a devil, and his name is fitting also: for t'is Umbrel- or Shadow.
‘His anger is fire,
and his eyes are ice,
his shadow is dark,
but his heart is light’
- there is still hope left, or there was. There was her, but there is not any more.
Now he can resist no longer, and the horns burst through his head! He screams in agony, and writhes around on the floor in pain! An ear-piercing-screech-like laugh, emits from the darkness and echoes through the blood stained hallway. It sounds like a woman - like her.
Oh revenge is sweet,
But justice - t’is sweeter
Sweeter than the liquid of the goblet of Evil
Whose contents have now been drunk,
Love turns to hate
And hate, to lust,
And life draws it’s last breaths,
As evil’s cup slowly refills.
