What are the differences between scales and what works best? I need to figure out how much weight I'm actually losing

The first reason is the fluctuation of water weight throughout the day which can be around 2 - 4 pounds, including the type of food you are eating and the amount of food you eat. It is best to weigh yourself in the morning after you shower and before you have breakfast.
Another reason is because manual scales that are not kept well, will lose their accuracy because the winding gets lose.
At the end of the day, you should be more concerned with fat loss, not weight loss. Weight loss also includes muscle loss which isn't a good thing. That's why I focus on weight training and cardio exercises. cardio is a good instant calorie blaster but muscle keeps the calories burning.
Trust me, I know what you mean. The first time I used a digital scale it said I was ten pounds heavier, it's very disappointing and frustrating.
But still, it's better to use a digital scale because they are more accurate. Just don't step on it very often. I learned that only weighing myself once every 3 or 4 days is much better. Like I mentioned before, be more concerned with fat loss, not weight loss.
I do weigh myself in the morning, and idk it's kind of disappointing when one scale gives you such a great number, but then the other one is still close to your original weight. I think I just need to invest in another scale.
