Hey, please don't laugh at this one - it's a genuine problem I'd like some input on. I'm a thirty-something guy who took up boxing about six months ago, it's going good and I really want to get more into the sport. I'm gay, which is no big deal as far as my ability to box, but naturally I end up having to shower with guys I spar with and whilst I'm not consciously thinking about anything sexual (I'm aware of the social norms and have self control!) but my junk has different ideas if you get me - so I end up hiding myself behind my towel most of the time hoping I'll get distracted. I'm getting pretty self-conscious about it. I know one solution, but don't always get chance to do that before I head to the gym, so does anyone have any ideas for mentally training yourself to 'switch off' in potentially arousing situations... yeah, I know, that's the exact opposite of what most guys want to happen! Any ideas???

Best thing to do is attempt to mentally seperate the gym from sexual fantasies.
One thing to do is to use that locker room time to think about what you have left to do in the day, or the next day.
Worse case, start thinking of what those guys will look like if they're 200lbs heavier, or if they were girls O,o
