Set aside some time for yourself. Try having a reasonable schedule. Set realistic goals for yourself. Know your physical and emotional limitations. Spend time enjoying your family. If something worries you, talk to a friend. Meditate on such qualities as mildness and patience. Try be organized, and balanced, give your body sufficient rest each day.
Sometimes when under stress it can rob us of our good judgement, so we want to carefully weigh the viewpoints of others, which will help us from acting rashly and help us to avoid stressful situations.
But what's key is, in stressful situations that we turn to God for guidance. We should pray humbly, honestly, and sincerely from the heart for help.
My go to scripture doing times of stress or anxiety is Philippians 4:6,7. There it says: Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. There's no way I can convey how this has worked in my life in words on this platform. There is nothing like the Peace of God. Will we stop being stressed or having problems? No, we live in an imperfect world for now. But, knowing the truth about God, his will, and his purpose, by meditating on and applying Bible principle to our lives, we learn, and come to know and understand how to cope with life's stressors.
Another favorite scripture of mine is found at Revelation 21:3-5. There God makes an unbreakable promise with a guarantee. Soon he will make " All things new" and here is the guarantee: He said: Write, because these words are faithful and true.
First, stress must be reduced inside of you. If you have no stress and you have peace within, then you can influence others and the world to live in peace, joy and bliss. The world seems to be in a mess, with stress. People are living with anger and hate, revenge and jealousy, fear, worry because we are living in ignorance. We are ignorant that we are not this body, we are not the mind, we are the Divine Soul. We are ignorant of our true existence. We think we are the one who has a name, but the name was given to us after we were born. We are not enlightened with the truth and because of our ignorance, we are so stressed out. The ego makes us agonized because we don't realize we are not the ME, the mind and ego that is causing this stress. We must be enlightened with the truth.
