One of my close friends is anorexic. I am really worried about her. She is almost 13, 5 foot 3 inces tall, and only 85 pounds. She keeps getting thinner and thinner. At this rate, she could be in serious danger. I really want reach out and help her but I don't know how she'll react. I've tried telling her that I care about her and to please try to eat more. What else can I do?

You should tell her parents or doctor. Speaking from experience, the doctors by now already figured that out and it very upsetting to be told you have a problem. When I was confronted on the matter I got very angry and it might strain your relationship. I still have issues and barely talk to my mother and best friend because there way of helping was to attack me on the matter. Express concern but it don't push her, it's a touchy subject, you might end up pushing her out of reach. Don't tell her she looks bad just focus on her health. I wish you the best on the matter.
