The healthy weight loss for a child is 1-2 pounds per week.
At an expected loss of 10 pounds, it would take anywhere from 5-10 weeks for this amount of weight to be shed.
Try avoiding sugar foods completely (bread is one of them) and maybe download an app such as MyFitnessPal, I used this for logging calories and it was a great help.
