How can I efficiently get the last bit of fertilizer out of a Miracle Gro liquid feeder?

After ten or fifteen minutes the container is filled with diluted still containing some fertilizer. At that point I would like to empty the container while still spraying out the remaining liquid. I have tried turning the container over and spraying along with loosening the container. Sometimes that works but other times it does not work. How do others do it?
