When it comes to these things, just think: Who do I know longer? Your friend's and your relationship will hopefully last longer then your relationship with your teacher. Since you only have your teacher for one year. But to stick on both sides, your teacher's and your friends. Here are some easy ways to stick to both. Always study and try to get good grades, the teachers will like you, and it won't make your friend jealous, because it doesn't look like your trying hard to get the teacher to like you. If your teacher asks a question. Be the first to raise your hand and be confident in your answer. But don't be too confident and act like you know everything, because that will get your friend, annoyed or jealous. I hope this helps! I had to deal with these problems too so I know how you feel. But if you every suspect your friend getting jealous, try to talk with her and work it out.
It's important to be a good student and it's important to be a good friend. Proverbs 17:17 reveals "A true friend shows love at all times And is a brother who is born for times of distress." You can still be there for your bff without acting like you're more important because your teacher likes you. I always thought the phrase teacher's pet had bad connotations of someone who thinks they're better than the rest of the class. You can get past that by just being yourself.
