It seems that I have a hard time letting go of all the stresses that go along with life... I do suffer from anxiety, and I'm not exactly the spontaneous, quick witted, or creative type. I sometimes fear the risk of making a fool of myself, or being really awkward... How can I be more silly? What are some silly things I can do? How do other people do it?

Hi FrostyKoala. I'm really sorry about your troubles. I just want to say, that your not alone. There are hundreds of people who are worried about being awkward. My advice would be to believe in yourself. I know it sounds really cliche, but I think you should try to put yourself out there more. Don't worry about silly or being like other people. I know that other people are always hanging around laughing and joking with each other and acting goofy and sometimes other people can feel left out. Please don't worry. I have been in your situation before and I felt like I had to act a certain way, I was envious of how easy going other people were and did strive to be like them. But honestly, it just led me to being even more awkward. I found that it was easier to just let go of some of my problems and focus on living in the moment. I just acted myself and after that I became more comfortable with myself and tried not to care about making a fool or myself. I'm a those clumsy awkward person and am always tripping and making a fool of myself and sometimes I get embarrassed but I try let it go because its called being human. Try to be easier and more patient with yourself. Try to just let yourself be you because if you don't, then you will be acting the whole time and that is not pleasant. Just be your because your you for you forever! It also helps to try to think about how you view other people. Like you probably aren't spending your days constantly evaluating other people and when other people make a mistake, you aren't constantly thinking about it. That means other people aren't constantly evaluating you and they don't judge you if you make a fool of yourself because that's not what people do. If you make a mistake nobody is going to dwell on it I promise, It's not making a fool out of yourself when you make a mistake, called being a human not a fool. So just try to relax for the time being it will help and be yourself! I really hope this helped!
