As it stands RIGHT NOW... 8.3 Terrawatts is needed to get a 10,000 ton ship moving at One G of acceleration. (Equal to gravity of earth). So, it might as well be 1.21/Jigowatts and pushing a Deloreon, because it is not feasible at all at those power requirements. However... Don't give up on cruising Proxima Centauri just yet. The ONLY data we have shows that for a kilowatt of power, we get 1.2 millinewtons of thrust, but we don't know what happens when we go bigger, and does Qi really work the way that is being claimed? Simplified
.. When doubled, does the Em Drive put out double the power? Or is it even MORE than double? If Qi is right, we can really enhance propulsion by calculated placement of the electronics.
So.. Maybe it IS feasible, and maybe 5 megawatts will get us to 50% of C.... We just don't have the data right now. All we can really say right now is, grudgingly, yeah, it works, and we THINK we know how. No, it doesn't violate physics.
