So my father-in-law left the house to my partner and her brother but was split 90% in favour of his daughter. This might seem a little unfair but his daughter provided unconditional care and support throughout his illness whilst his son was very absent. Anyway, my question is how does this work?
The solicitors initially seem a little confused as well and I'm hesitant to invest too much in them finding out so I thought I'd refer to Yahoo for a bit of an idea. By the way, we all live in the house. This being the two siblings, me (daughters partner) and our son (grandson to the deceased).
Can a 10% holder influence a house sale or prevent a house sale?
Can a 90% holder charge a 10% holder rent?
Can a 10% holder refuse to pay bills?
