Hi! I am always getting in trouble at school for not doing my homework. Any idea's how to get on top of homework? I've just got so much on and there's not really much time. I get these panic's the night before, just realising that there is a homework due tomorrow. Any advise?

Hi, I am as well having a lot of troubles getting ALL my homework done. its mostly math for me. Well I think you should probably get help from a teacher if you may be having trouble on your homework but if you just have to much i suggest you do what i do most of the time, so dont bring you hw if its unfinished and tell the teacher you forgot it at home that always works for me if not i honestly don't know lol sorry.
I used to have the same problems. Occasionally, I'd leave homework until the morning it was due and imagine I could do it during breakfast. Generally, it didn't work out. The best way around it is planning and the key to planning is to having as much time as possible available to plan with. What this means is that timing is critical. The most important time for you to plan how to deal with homework is the moment you receive it, as opposed to closer to when it is due.
For instance, imagine this scenario. You are given four hours homework for Friday morning. You are given it on Monday so can do it Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night. You decide to do it on Thursday. On Thursday (in the day), you are given two hours urgent homework for the next day. You are now suddenly faced with six hours homework before you go to bed. You could have handled it differently in one of two ways.
Way 1: Spread your load over the days you have left. The four hours homework could have been split over an hour a day until it was due. This would give you the following schedule:
Monday: 1 hour
Tuesday: 1 hour
Wednesday: 1 hour
Thursday: 3 hours (because of the extra 2 hours you were given)
Way 2: Get it done as soon as you get it. This would give you the following schedule:
Monday: 4 hours
Tuesday: Nothing. You get a night off.
Wednesday: Nothing. You get a night off.
Thursday: 2 hours
Different ways work best for different people but Way 2 looks best to me. You never get into a panic and you actually get nights completely to yourself. The other way of getting nights to yourself (putting things off) means a panic at the end of it. Or there is Way 1, where you seem to work every single day.
hi.. i think you should either get help from your teacher , you can do 1 hour of homework everyday or if you are then also facing problems you can go to your friends home and do homework with them . its more fiun when you do homework in a group and you dont get bored.
Omg me too! I used to have this problem in the beginning of the year for English and I missed like five homework assignments.
How I got on top of this: I wrote in an agenda/ notebook what my homework is
If you use any device in school like ipad, phone.
Take a picture of the homework if the teacher writes it's on the board
I also made a folder where I keep all my homework ( that really helped)
