Highschool Freshman?

Hi, so I am  a freshman and i need help. My school gives us 2min to get to our classes and I don't get why? My school is really full. We have 1000+ students and really narrow staircases. I don't understand how we are expected to be at our next class in 2 minutes. Sometimes I can since for some classes I have to only go down one level, but I have to go from the 3rd all the way to the 6th floor and be in class in 2 minutes. As I said my school has 1000+ students and its hard to get to class in 2 minutes because of the traffic in the staircases. Does anyone have any advice, I dont want to be late everyday.
PS: Most of my teachers are REALLY strict about coming to class late :/

I don't know why because I am still in high school and they give us three minutes to transition. Back in my old school, they gave us five minutes. So it depends on the school you go to.

An advice I would give to you is to not think about getting late. If you always talk with your friends in the hallways, it would delay you. Just keep moving and walk quickly. Don't think about being late to class but just keep moving. Don't get distracted
