I had a premolar extracted in my upper jaw when I was little and now that I have braces and have my platal expander out , my orthodontist extracted the two premolars in my lower jaw due to prognathism. Will this in any way affect the shape of my face , smile or any other side effect ? I need answers . Thank you !

When I was younger I had two premolars removed for braces as well as two other teeth. The reason for it was to make room for the other teeth as the braces moved them into a more correct position. It catagorically does NOT and will NOT affect your smile, the shape of your face or have any other side effect whatsoever. It WILL give you a better smile, better future dental health and a massive reduction in incidences of cavity and plaque (because the teeth are less crowded together) provided you keep your teeth looked after. You have nothing to worry about at all, I promise you.
