I am a 14 year old girl (almost 15) and I'm moving from England to California and I have no idea what I'm letting myself in for! Will people treat me different because of my accent? Also I'm being skipped a grade, is that weird because it's unheard of over here?!? I'd like to know what the social aspect of high school is like- cliques, clothes ect... All I have to go on is TV! Any replies will be really appreciated! Thankyou xxx

California has some of the nicest places (for people, weather, beauty) in the U.S. People will love your accent. Skipping a grade is no big thing, hopefully you won't be too much younger than your classmates. Various U.S. cities have recently been taking a hard stance against bullying, so hopefully school life will be more pleasant.
Aw you are so lucky! I'm from the UK and as you probably already know it's quite cold and we haven't got the nicest people here. I have also always wanted to move to California but something is always stopping my parents on agreeing aka. Jobs, friends etc. There is very nice weather and some really cool people. I'm sure school will be fine for you too. Good luck on moving!
P.S I thought American people like English accents?!?
Thanks xxx
