becuase i'm curious about their orgin and who their parents are and if there are other alicorns, also what about discord whats his story and who are his parents.

Princess Celestia is the princess of the sun. her sister Princess Luna the princess of the moon. Celestia was more loved at least thats what princess Luna believed. Princess Luna felt dejected by her ponies and grew envious of her sister causing her to lash out violently over a period of time. Luna felt that Celestia didnt understand how she felt and that angered her and fueled her fire into falling into a sorrowful hatred which created Nightmare Moon to try and achieve what she felt she deserved Celestia used the elements of harmony against Luna to stop her. and Luna was trapped on the moon for a few years before returning for vengeance which she got 'purified' by the elements of harmony later on. some people believe Princess Luna and Princess Celestias Parents where King Cosmos and Queen Galaxia. as for discord im not sure.
