Hi, I currently doing AMEB grade 6 and I have a beginner cello, should I upgrade my cello?

I bought a Gliga 2 cello at the start of last year as a first cello. At the moment for the repertoire I'm playing it doesn't seem to be achieving the right sound that I would like.

Answer

Check with your music teacher or somebody who teaches cello at the school.
It may be your cello needs tuning or maybe needs to be a bit fixed.

Rather than buying a whole new cello.
