...  washing machine, I want to drain the water into a bucket and pour it out. Is it ok or will the water go back into the machine? -  thanks

Hey pvrm,
NOOOOOOO!!!! Simply because the machine will fill and empty several times during the cycle. The bucket will eventually overflow unless you check it every 5 minutes. And you would need a pretty big bucket. The water will not go back into the machine though. Just make sure it doesn't overflow. You don't want any water damage in your home. Trust me lol.
