Hey, I have a question on my fat tailed gecko. It seems as if part of his head is much lighter than?

... the rest of his body and I was wondering if it is due to dehydration or if it is just a natural marking. I water his cage three times a day and live in Idaho(which is a significantly dry place) and keep his water dish full. His behavior is normal and eats well. Just currious
