Hey I have a computer that is connected to the Internet but the Download Rate is actually terrible!?

...  I have run a test and it says i should be getting 8.4Mb/ps but I am literally getting only 3.0kB/ps..... yes not MB but bloody kB what is going on it is driving me crazy!

The router is actually connected to a computer downstairs and the computer downstairs is quite old and is really slow, is this why my wireless connection is so bad? Please me me the answer or you thoughts! Ha

i think the internet connection is too slow that is why your download rate is also slow

The router being connected to the slow computer shouldn't make a difference. 

I'd try connecting your computer directly to your modem (bypassing the router) and checking if it's still slow. If it's still slow, try connecting another computer directly to the modem.

If both of those don't work, I'd call your service provider.
