... not know the title but I read it a while ago. I'm going to tell you as much as I know about it.

1. I believe the book was pink and the version I read was hardcover.
2. The setting for most of the story was somewhere in the Middle East during some sort of war. (India?)
3. There were also a few scenes in Canada.
4. The main character is a girl who moved to Canada with her family. Her father I believe ended up going back to their home country and she ended up leaving to go find him?
5. While in Canada she gains a best friend and ends up having a crush on a guy who goes to her school. People around her think she is beautiful in her "sari." (Indian garment.) the guy she has a crush on has a particular liking to it. Her best friend asks to borrow it one day. The main character then travels to her best friends house where she sees her making out with her crush on the couch in her Sari.

6. When she goes back to India, she meets a guy. He never tells her his name but they end up falling in love. He is the second main character

7. The story is in the form of poetry, like with stanzas.

8. At some point the male main character ends up getting kidnapped and dragged through the desert while he is tied to the back of a camel.

9. At the end of the story, the male main character finally tells the girl his name and that's the very end.
