HELP : I've been doing exercises (everyday), like lunges and squats with weights, mountain climbers, ect. does that count as a work out? Or just exercise?

A workout is anything you want to call a workout. You need to learn a few things and decide what you want to do. Exercises can be warm-ups, stretches, building, or toning. A warm-up is quick and easy, solely to raise the temperature of a muscle to avoid injuries. A stretch is to increase the length and loosen the tendons. To build a muscle you exercise it to exhaustion and then let it rest for about two weeks while you work on other parts. Toning is to maintain flexibility. So to plan a workout, you need to know all the major muscle groups, how to control each, and how to exercise each. That involves studying anatomy, nutrition, and a few other things. It is common to hire a trainer who has the book learning so you can devote all your time to activities. Or you can do it all yourself. Your choice.
