So recently I was undertaking some work for another company, decorating their office. The contract was terminated by me due to them creating issues from nothing and generally making more work than was required or had been quoted for. They owe up to the point where work was halted. I agreed that because we had left I would pay another firm to come and clean as I wanted no further dealings. That's fine.
However they are trying t deduct a further £50 for the inconvenience it has caused them for finding another decorator. Now correct me if im wrong but I shouldn't have to pay that as I state the reasons were because of them changing the work outlay etc.
I'm not sure what to do or how to go about addressing it. I'm a small business so £50 is still a lot of money to us
