I live in the UK and wish to be homeschooled (but not by my parents). I am 14 years old (in year 10) and attend a school I do not like. I just started year 10 in a new school, and I find it hard to make friends. I miss my old life. I am depressed and have anxiety due to many other reasons and will get help, but school adds too much stress for me, even though the work is really easy. I'm the best in my class, but can't really fit in with everyone else. From popular down to loser. Can I get homeschooled by a teacher(s), and if so, how? Also, how much would it cost? I go to a private school and pay £10k a year so money isn't a problem. Thank you

I think the first thing to do is to speak to Mum and Dad and tell them everything about how you are feeling. Private home tuition that you refer to will be much more than 10K per year. Also you are not going to find 1 tutor who can teach you every subject you need to learn - you will need multiple tutors. You know, hiding away and being taught alone isn't going to solve any problems you have with anxiety and so on. It won't fix how you feel, it will just allow you to put off getting it all sorted out. Talk to somebody.
