... multiple parasites and diseases. They are 4-5 weeks old and I have had them for about three weeks. About a week ago I read about roundworms and I was wondering if my family and I were at risk of being infected. I made sure to wash my hands properly each time I handled my kittens and their litter but I realized I hadn't taken any precautions on my clothing. I didn't change my shirt after holding them and went about my house that way although I made sure not to wipe my hands on my short because I was still consious about hiw dirty they could be. I also held them in my bed after bathing them in my tub. I've been extra cautious recently making sure to wear gloves and using a different shirt to hold them. Are my family and I still at risk of being infected by roundworms or other parasites? We plan to deworm them when we can afford it
They're kittens that I found dehydrated in my shed. They haven't been vaccinated/dewormed because I can't afford to pay for a vet visit for all four kittens. Petco had a discount for kitten litter vaccinations but unfortunately the closest petco doesn't offer vaccinations or any veterinary services. Since the area I live in is pack full of strays, there is no place that will care for unvaccinated 4-5 week old kittens. I've checked everywhere.
