Hello everyone, Will sun or weather heat going to effect electric cars and damage it ?

I asked that question because I'm an Electric Engineer and I know how heat effect the electric and electronic components, but actually, I don't know about electric cars, I read in some websites that sun or weather heat effect the electric cars and may damage it completely.
And, because I'm living in Middle East and weather temperature is very high I was wondering is that right or no ???
