... a laptop on eBay that won it in a auction. Everyday up to the day I sold the item I made sure it worked just fine and reset to factory settings. I would turn it on in the morning and air spray it and make sure it said "select region and language". Before I sent it off I made sure that my account said "no refunds" and that the item was used. I have had the item for 3+ years and there are signs of cosmetic wear but it is fully operational( This is what the definition of used is on eBay.) When the buyer received the laptop he first told me it was poorly packaged and it was completely broken. I told him that I would refund him once I got the item back into my hands in the same way I shipped it. I did take pictures of the laptop before I sent it and it was fully operational. Right after the first message he sent another one saying that the laptop turned on when he plugged in the charger(common sense in my personal opinion) and it upgraded itself to windows 10 and now the keyboard won't work. I believe I have caught him in a lie because he went from it not working to it turning on and updating. I called the computer manufacturer and they told me that I laptop will not automatically update and a user MUST put in info upon factory reset and then select the update. The representative then went on to say that to fix the keyboard problem, he must go on the manufacturers website and download the driver. He went on to tell me that everyone must do this when they update . I went back to eBay and let the buyer know that my item I sent was indeed " as described" and that he received it in the condition I said it was in("used" by eBay standards but fully operational"). I told him he went from saying that the laptop was completely broken to it turned on and updated. He went on to say that he will just let eBay and PayPal handle it and they will believe him because of his buyer rating. I know how eBay works and they don't really protect the seller in any way. With the evidence I have( the messages from the buyer stating he updated, pictures of it before I sent it) what do you think the outcome might be with the circumstances?
