About a year ago I was diagnosed with panic attacks. January of this year, I had weird chest pains and went to the ER. My local hospital is rated top 5% in the nation in Cardiology, and is leading the country in Interventional Cardiology. I had multiple EKGs, vascular ultrasound from top to bottom, 30- hour halter monitor, blood tests, echocardiogram, and Thallium stress test. I've also had a couple of follow up EKGs since, the last one being about a month ago. Also, I take medicine for GERD and the aforementioned panic attacks. I had a squeezing feeling in my chest tonight for a few 10's of seconds. My question is... 1: with all those tests, wouldn't SOMETHING have shown up?Something that (barring injury or trauma) would have indicated I had blockages forming, or clots or heart disease? 2: My Dr. says that GERD/acid reflux could cause very strange pains in my chest. Has anyone else felt this? 3: How long would it take for heart disease, blockages, etc to form?
Thanks.

The first line of defense against depression and anxiety is B vitamins. Get nutritional yeast powder and/or B-100 pills. Vitamin B2 is a water soluble dye that turns urine bright yellow. When the color fades, it's time for another dose.
Magnesium strengthens muscles, calms nerves, stops cramps, and fights infections. Get epsom salt. It is cheap, five bux for a year's supply. Put a dose in a glass with water to cover and stir until it dissolves. Fill the glass with lemonade and drink it. You can take it without the lemonade but you won't like the taste. Milk of magnesia is more expensive but nicer tasting and gentler laxative action. Your choice.
Read some books about nutrition so you know how to eat right. Doctors don't know these things because they have no training in nutrition.
What you've have described are panic attacks, it's very common to suffer from loud heartbeats and probably chest pains, although this is considered psychological effects, Maybe you should take a home sleep test just to rule out things that make you anxious.
Then again you've mentioned your local hospital knows a thing or two about cardiology, I do hope you will feel better soon.
