hi I am planning to go on water fast only for 10 days to loose 5 pounds and cleanse my body, can anyone tell me how to do water fast. I have had friends who did water fast and looked great. I wanted to know how to prevent low sugar levels during a water only fast??

You need to read some books about nutrition so you know how to eat right. Calories have nothing to do with it. You should be eating about 0.4 gram of complete protein per pound of body weight every day, counting only 6 grams per egg, 12 grams per glass of milk, and 24 grams per quarter pound of meat. Eat veggies with every meal, or whole grain bread every day, to keep your bowel movements regular.
Fat is made of carbon and hydrogen. The only way it comes out of the body is if it is turned into carbon dioxide and water and then it comes out through the lungs. So that involves a lot of heavy breathing, and that means jogging or dancing. Figure on losing one pound per week when you are doing things right.
The Colon Cleanse
I'm not an expert, I'm just offering common sense.
Let's talk about Intelligent Design. Your colon was designed to carry toxic waste. Get used to it. Your colon will NEVER be a nice place, it will ALWAYS be full of s--t. That's what it was designed for. If you are dumping regularly, your colon is as healthy as it will ever be. If you have any doubts, the first thing you need to do is eat more vegetables. Veggies are part of the Intelligent Design, you know. The fiber cleans the pipes. If you want some extra cleaning action, try a couple tablespoons of unprocessed miller's bran (in the cereal section of your grocery store) or any 100% bran cereal mixed into milk or juice. If you can't notice any difference, your colon is as clean as it needs to be.
